The US-based distributors will partner on the release of Darren Bousman’s apocalyptic tale and appropriately enough have set the launch date for Nov 11 this year.

The Saw II, IIIand IV director’s horror-thriller tells of a writer haunted by a series of mysterious events surrounding the impending date of 11-11-11. 

Timothy Gibb, Michael Landes, Wendy Glenn and Brendan Price star. Bousman wrote the film and the producers are Wayne Rice and Richard Heller. 

Marc Sternberg and Michael Arrieta of Big Air Studios negotiated the deal with Dan Griffiths of Rocket Releasing and Verve’s Adam Levine on behalf of the filmmakers.

11-11-11 is definitely a labour of love,” Bousman said. “I hope the movie will pique audiences’ curiosity and leave them wanting more.”

Rocket Releasing handles a mix of high quality, commercial genre, foreign language and documentary titles. Griffiths founded the company this year after serving as a partner at international sales company Trans-Pacific Media and prior stints at New Regency and Lakeshore Entertainment.

Big Air Studios focuses on genre and was formed in 2010.
