Spanish broadcaster laSexta signs deal with Warner Bros

Spanish broadcaster laSexta has signed a three year deal with Warner Bros International Television Distribution (WBITD) which will give the broadcaster exclusive free to air TV rights to Warner Bros’ first-run theatrical motion pictures and previously released features as well as the studio’s new season of television programmes.

Through the deal, laSexta will acquire the rights to Clint Eastwood’s Invictus and Gran Torino and Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes, as well as gaining access to Warner Bros library films such as Harry Potter and The Dark Knight, and made for DVD titles.  

It is the latest agreement between the two companies, who formed a relationship in 2006 when laSexta began broadcasting WBITD show The Sopranos.
