EXCLUSIVE: Writer-director Chris D’Arienzo’s drama introduced to market.

HanWay has newly boarded international sales on Occupant Entertainment’s Always on My Mind, from Rock of Ages creator Chris D’Arienzo.

D’Arienzo wrote the script and will direct Nick Nolte and Glenn Close in the music-based drama in which an ageing rock star (Nolte) succumbs to dementia while his wife (Close) is left to pick up the pieces of his hard-lived rock n’ roll life.

Occupant’s Joe Neurauter and Felipe Marino will produce in association with Chris D’Arienzo’s Hana Akami Canning Co. CAA represent domestic rights.

HanWay’s impressive market slate also includes Ben Wheatley’s High Rise, John Maclean’s Slow West and Rodrigo Garcia’s Last Days in the Desert.

Occupant is in pre-production on the super-natural feature The Woods from UK director Corin Hardy and in post-production on its adaptation of Madame Bovary directed by Sophie Barthes and starring Mia Wasikowska, Paul Giamatti, Ezra Miller and Rhys Ifans.
