EXCLUSIVE: Shoot underway on Noel Clarke-directed sci-fi starring Luke Hemsworth, Ian Somerhalder.

Shoot is underway in London and New York on sci-fi action-thriller The Anomaly starring Ian Somerhalder (Lost, The Vampire Diaries), Brian Cox, Noel Clarke, Alexis Knapp and Luke Hemsworth, brother of Liam and Chris, in his first lead film role.

Clarke, most recently seen in Star Trek Into Darkness, is directing the feature produced under his Unstoppable Entertainment banner alongside James Harris and Mark Lane of The Tea Shop & Film Company (Cockneys vs Zombies, Tower Block).

Former BAFTA Rising Star-winner Clarke has previously directed dramas Adulthood and 4.3.2.1.

Simon Lewis’ screenplay follows the travails of a traumatised ex-soldier who wakes up in the back of a van, alongside a kidnapped boy, to find that he only has only nine minutes and 37 seconds of consciousness to work out why and how he got there.

Hemsworth, who had a recurring role in hit Australian series Neighbours, recently co-starred in Australian thriller The Reckoning and is due to appear in Luke Sparke’s First World War drama The 34th Battalion.
