Former Alliance Films evp and Maple co-president departs to pursue other opportunities.

Laurie May is the latest executive to depart eOne, which acquired Alliance late last year.

Prior to joining Alliance Films, May was co-president and co-founder of Maple Pictures, Lionsgate’s Canadian operations, which handled Lionsgate’s film and TV slate in Canada. 

Maple was acquired by Alliance Films in 2011, with May playing a key role in the transaction.

Prior to Maple, May served as senior vice president business and legal affairs for Lionsgate.
