The Sarajevo Film Festival last night [23] handed out industry awards at a ceremony at the Industry Terrace of the Hotel Europe.

The $6,700 (€5,000) Cineeuropa Prize, awarded to a film “that promotes the idea of European dialogue and integration”, went to Faruk Loncaveric for well-received drama With Mom (Bosnia and Herzegovina-Germany-Slovenia).

The CICAE (International Confederation of Art Cinemas) award for a film in competition was won by In Bloom (Georgia) directors Nana Ekvitimishvili and Simon Gross.

Duro Gavran’s short The Verdict (Croatia) picked up an EDN Talent Grant for promising new regional documentary filmmakers while Sarajevo’s short film nominee for the EFA Awards was announced as Sergio Oksman’s A Story for the Modlins (Spain).

Finally, the BH (Bosnia and Herzegovina) Film Student Programme Award for Best Film went to Dario Durakovic’s Monument and the Special Jury Prize was won by Dajan Javorac’s Forest.

Hari Secic’s Variations received a Special Jury mention.
