Live-action remake of Disney classic is still in development.
Tim Burton is to direct the live-action remake of Dumbo for Walt Disney Pictures.
According to reports, the film will be a mixture of computer generated effects and live action.
Dumbo is still in development and is the latest in a succession of live-action remakes of Disney classics, including Cinderella, The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast.
Ehren Kruger (Transformers: Age of Extinction) wrote the script, with Justin Springer (Oblivion) set to produce with Kruger.
Burton previously directed Alice in Wonderland for Disney, which went on to gross $1.03bn worldwide.
