Screen International today unveils the shortlist for our second annual Screen UK Marketing & Distribution Awards.

Distributors leading the shortlist are Optimum with 13, Fox and Momentum with 11 each, Universal with 10, Revolver and Artificial Eye each with 9, and CinemaNX and Lionsgate with 6 each.

Leading films by shortlist mentions are 127 Hours, The King’s Speech and TT3D with 5 each, followed by Anuvahood and Black Swan with 4 each, and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows and Senna with 3 each.

Screen editor Mike Goodridge said: “We have had a terrific range of submissions for this year’s awards demonstrating the incredible level of creativity and skill at work in getting films out in the competitive UK marketplace. I know the judges are going to have a tough time making their selections from this field.”

The second-annual Screen UK Marketing & Distribution Awards honour marketing and distribution campaigns and teams for the 12-month period between August 2010 and July 2011.

The Awards will be given out at a gala evening at the Park Lane Hilton on Sept 27.

This year’s jury is led by Stephen Moore and also includes Antonia Bird, Sally Caplan, Sandra Hebron, Col Needham, Nik Powell, Denise Parkinson, Tim Richards, Julia Short and Adrian Wootton.
