Regent Studios has signed a two-year deal with horror film-maker David DeCoteau's Rapid Heart Pictures that includes ten films and two TV series.

DeCoteau is currently in development with Regent on Edgar Allan Poe's The Pit And The Pendulum as well as two further films in The Brotherhood vampire franchise that launched in 2001 and The Invisible Chronicles.

He recently collaborated with Regent's sister company here! Networks on the Poe adaptations The Raven and House Of Usher, which aired on here! Networks in 2007 and 2008, as well as the film noir Playing With Fire, which is scheduled for a theatrical release this autumn.

'Working with an innovative, independent spirit like David DeCoteau cuts right to the core of our mission at here!' Regent Studios president Paul Colichman said. 'After a string of very successful collaborations in recent years, we feel confident that David's disarming, off-beat storytelling will continue to engage our audiences.'

'To find myself in another substantial partnership with Regent at this point in my career is a wonderful feeling,' DeCoteau said. 'I look forward to making the types of films I have always enjoyed making - within the exciting, encouraging context of a first-class studio.'
