Shane Abbess to direct Source Code for Universal
Universal Pictures has hired Shane Abbess to direct Source Code, a sci-fi thriller centered on the notion of the time continuum.Mark Gordon will produce and Ben Ripley wrote the screenplay. Plot details are being kept under wraps.Abbess' previously directed the horror title Gabriel, which Sony picked up for international distribution; he is represented by Endeavor and Underground Management.
