The Sheffield Doc/Fest and Unexpected Media, with support from the BBC, London Development Agency and Screen Yorkshire, are starting a new initiative to support new documentary projects.

The Crossover UK programme, a five-day residential lab will work with documentary makers, new media producers and video games developers form Yorkshire and London to brainstorm cross-platform documentary ideas.

Experienced film-makers will collaborate with the emerging talents to talk about innovative, interactive projects.

Frank Boyd from Unexpected Media will lead the lab.

A session at November's Sheffield Doc/Fest will look at the results of Crossover UK.
