Skillset and Creative Scotland are launching a new training programme aimed at enhancing the skills and contacts of those who have recently entered into the film and TV industry in Scotland.

The programme will train five individuals working in camera, production, the art department, assistant directing or animation through in-depth professional skills training, industry placements and mentoring.

The scheme is being funded through investment from Creative Scotland’s talent development strand Creative Futures and the Skillset Film Skills Fund as part of its film skills strategy “A Bigger Future 2”.

A continuation of the New Entrants Training Programme (NETS), which has been running for 30 years, the programme will take place at Edinburgh Napier University’s Screen Academy.
