Taiwan's Three Dots Entertainment has sold Panorama title Spider Lilies to CNS Entertainment for Korea, Sahamongkol for Thailand, and Passion Entertainment for Singapore.

The sole Taiwanese feature in this year's Berlinale official selection, the film is Zero Chou's second feature drama. Her debut Splendid Float won Best Taiwan Film at the Golden Horse Awards in 2004.

Spider Lilies follows the story of tattoo artist Takeko, who displays the design of the poisonous flower - cut from her father's flesh as a memorial of his tragic death, to help her traumatized brother regain his memory. When webcam girl Jade falls in love with Takeko, she asks her to give her a spider lily design as well to bring her closer to her object of desire.

The film stars Isabella Leong, who was previously at the Berlinale in Pang Ho-cheung's Isabella, and rising pop icon Rainie Yang in her first major role, as Jade.

Three Dots is also in the process of finalizing a deal to Hong Kong, China.

Spider Lilies has its world premiere in the Panorama section on Wednesday.
