Union Square Entertainment principals Jason Berk and Matt Lane, whose company produced the William H Macy and Meg Ryan comedy The Deal headed for Sundance, have changed the company name to Berk-Lane Entertainment.

Berk-Lane will continue to finance and produce and aims to increase its involvement in feature development and expand into alternative and online programming and television.

The Deal is produced in association with Dog Pond Productions, Muse Entertainment Enterprises, Peace Arch Entertainment and Sydnyk Works.

Berk-Lane and Winchester Films have the comedy Surfer Dude starring Matthew McConaughey in post-production.

Upcoming projects include The Company Men produced with John Wells, Claire Rudnick Polstein and Paula Weinstein, and the romantic comedy All The Ships At Sea.
