Babelsberg Studios has been given a major boost with news that Jackie Chan's Around The World In 80 Days will be shot at the studios from this spring.

Frank Coraci (The Wedding Singer) directs the big-budget production for US-based Walden Media at Babelsberg and on location including Berlin and Central Germany.

Chan, who plays Passe-partout in the fantasy adventure, will be coming to Berlin this week for the screening of Mabel Cheung and Alex Law's documentary Traces Of A Dragon: Jackie Chan And His Lost Family which will be opening the Panorama's Dokumente section at the Berlinale on February 7.
