EXCLUSIVE: Oblivion actress Olga Kurylenko [pictured], Maria Furtwangler and Charles Dance are attached to star in spy-thriller Despite the Falling Snow.

Kurylenko is set to play an enigmatic female spy who falls in love with an idealistic politician. The action will move between 1950s and present day Moscow and London.

Susanne Bier regular Morten Søborg is attached as DoP.

Writer-director Shamim Sarif has adapted the screenplay from her novel of the same name. Hanan Kattan is producing under the Enlightenment Productions banner with shooting slated to start mid October this year. The production is raising money through a UK EIS scheme.

Sarif and Kattan have previously collaborated on The World Unseen, I Can’t Think Straight and The House of Tomorrow.

“I’m delighted to be working with Shamim and Hanan on this great project,” Kurylenko told Screen.
