HanWay's A Long Way Down sells early, Poots on board

HanWay has closed early market deals on Pascal Chaumeil comedy-drama A Long Way Down to UK (Lionsgate), Germany (DCM) and Scandinavia (Svensk).

Imogen Poots has newly joined the cast that already includes Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette and Emile Hirsch. BBC Films are on board as equity co-financier and UK broadcaster. DCM will also equity co-produce.

Jack Thorne’s adaptation of Nick Hornby’s novel is about four people who form a surrogate family to help one another weather the difficulties of their lives.
