Inception Media Group has acquired North American rights to the thriller Screwed, based on the book by former prison guard Ronnie Thompson.
Reg Traviss directed the Unstoppable Entertainment film starring James D’Arcy as an Iraq War veteran who takes a job as a prison officer and experiences the underworld of prison culture. Noel Clarke also stars.
Inception negotiated the deal with UK-based Intandem Films.
Feature is latest under film partnership between streamer and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin.

Anticipated anime feature is from ‘Your Name’ producer Genki Kawamura.
