UK-based sales agent Wavelength Pictures closes deal on Montreal Film Festival drama.
UK sales outfit Wavelength Pictures has sold Bavo Defurne’s North Sea Texas to distributor Salzgeber & Co for all German-speaking territories, in advance of its international premiere at the Montreal World Film Festival (Aug 18-28).
The Belgian coming-of-age story, screening in Montreal’s First Films World Competition, follows a teenage boy’s search for love, and his affection for a rugged, motorcycle-riding boy who lives next door.
Wavelength expects to close further deals on the Dutch-language film in the coming weeks. Defurne’s film was released earlier this year in Belgium.
