“Promote, Fund & Distribute 2.0” to take place in London from May 7 to 9.

Film distribution experts Stacey Parks and Thomas Mai are teaming up again to stage a three-day intensive masterclass ”Promote, Fund & Distribute 2.0” to take place in London on the eve of Cannes from May 7 to 9.

The interactive training seminar falls under their banner “Dawn Of The Micro Major Film Producer” which kicked off with a successful morning seminar during the Berlinale this year.

The event will focus on how to promote, fund and distribute films in today’s ever changing and complex digital marketplace. Each day covers one subject but will also be used to work and interact with the class to give feedback on the current projects they are working on.

Day one will look at promotion and how producers should begin promoting their projects at idea stage to build audience, financing and non-exclusive distribution.

Day two will cover funding and new financing models such as crowd funding, hybrid funding, accounting for transmedia and cross-platform opportunities and working with affiliates.

Day three will focus on distribution and how to make full use of non- exclusive deals where the producer retains all rights.

“We want to be able to get into all the nitty gritty details of how to promote, fund, and distribute films in TODAY’s marketplace,” said Parks and Mai, “and not just gloss over the material but really give producers hands on training on how to use, leverage, and manage all the new platforms out there for their films.”

The masterclass is limited to 25 participants and tickets are selling fast. For more information or to register, click here.
