The UK-based Footprint Investment Fund, previously known as the Footprint Film Fund, is making its first investment as a bridging loan to $45m action adventure The Laundry Warrior.
Barrie Osborne, Michael Peyser and Jooick Lee are producing.
The film is shooting now in New Zealand for August 2008 delivery. Jang Dong-Kun, Kate Bosworth and Geoffrey Rush star.
Kathy Morgan International is handling world sales.
Footprint was launched in August 2007 by Lisa Lambert, Martin McCourt and Mark Worrall.
McCourt said: 'We are extremely pleased to have been able to respond to the rapid funding demands presented by this exciting opportunity'.
Footprint aims to provide bridge finance, gap finance and receivables/tax credit finance. The fund invests globally on a last dollar in, first dollar out basis.
