Fortissimo Film Sales has picked up world sales for Mexican filmmaker Enrique Rivero's feature debut Parque Via.

The film is currently screening in the Horizontes Latinos sidebar at this week's San Sebastian International Film Festival. Parque Via won 32-year-old Rivero the Golden Leopard in the International Competition at the Locarno International Film Festival last month.

Writing in Screen, critic Dan Fainaru said it was 'an uncompromising piece of minimalist film-making'.

Starring Nolberto Coria, Nancy Orozco and Tesalia Huerta, the drama centres on the isolated life of a longtime caretaker who is faced with change when the luxurious house he has cared for is put up for sale.

The film will also be showing in October at the Tokyo International Film Festival, the London Film Festival and the Viennale in Vienna as it begins its international festival career.
