Ambitious Hungarian distribution and sales outfit HungariCom has announced a raft of deals on its EFM slate.
Its cartoon features are selling especially briskly. Here in Berlin the company
has closed deals on Egon & Dönci and CATcher - Cat City 2 to HGC Entertainment for China and Media International Pictures for the Middle East and North Africa.
CATcher has also been sold to Film Depot for CIS.
Just prior to EFM, Egon & Dönci had been sold to CIS before the Berlin market to Russian Film Company.
Meanwhile, Filmcilik bought all rights of Egon & Dönci for Turkey.
HungariCom has also done a deal with 9miles Inc (Japan) for Konec, its comedy crime drama about some old age pensioners who turn to crime.
Indian buyer Reel Rights has taken a package of Hunagricom titles, including romantic comedy Just Sex and Nothing Else, SOS Love! And Konec.
Here in Berlin, the sales drive for Megafilm's action drama Nosedive, also on HungariCom's slate, has been bolstered by the presence in town of actor, Zsolt Nagy, who is Hungary's 'Shooting Star.'
