Inferno partners Bill Johnson and Jim Seibel have hired James McTeigue to direct the sci-fi thriller Revelation and will commence pre-sales at Cannes.

New president of international sales Pamela Pickering will introduce the project to buyers on the Croisette. Pickering's arrival, along with that of head of development and production Tracee Stanley, signals the ongoing expansion at the Los Angeles-based production, financing and worldwide sales company.

Johnson is producing and Siebel will serve as executive producer on Revelation and said last night [May 8] the project suited their focus on 'commercially viable projects with positive and inspirational themes that raise consciousness.'

John Salvati wrote the screenplay about a female reporter who learns the fundamental truth about herself while investigating a series of killings that may be linked to an alien abduction research institute. Production is set to begin in autumn at an undetermined location.

Johnson is producing alongside Dave Alpert and Lawrence Mattis of management and production company Circle Of Confusion and Seibel serves as executive producer with Dave Engel.

McTeigue recently directed V For Vendetta and is currently directing Ninja Assassin. Before that he worked as the Wachowski Brothers' first assistant director on The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions.

Sales veteran Pickering previously headed her own consulting company following tenure at IEG as president of sales and distribution, where she worked on Ali and Gangs Of New York, among others. Before that she worked in similar capacities at Mutual Film Company and Spelling Films International.

Stanley most recently produced Powder Blue starring Forest Whitaker, Jessica Biel, Ray Liotta and Eddie Redmayne. She began her career at Franchise Pictures where she served as head of development and productions.
