The Hurt Locker, A Serious Man and Inglourious Basterds are nominated for best picture in the Broadcast Film Critics Association’s Critics Choice Awards announced earlier today [December 14].

Jeff Bridges is in the running for best actor prize for Crazy Heart (pictured) alongside Jeremy Renner for The Hurt Locker and Colin First for A Single Man, while Carey Mulligan is nominated as best actress for An Education with Gabourey Sidibe for Precious and Meryl Streep for Julie & Julia.

Kathryn Bigelow is among the best director contenders for The Hurt Locker, along with Avatar’s James Cameron and Lee Daniels for Precious.
