Katapult Film Sales has acquired international rights before Cannes to Madonna's feature directorial debut Filth And Wisdom, Richard Ledes' whistle-blowing drama The Caller that premiered at Tribeca last week and Boaz Yakin's drama Death In Love.

Filth And Wisdom received its world premiere at Berlin and charts the everyday lives of three distinctive personalities who are obliged to take on jobs just to earn a living, but who live in hope of one day fulfilling their dreams.

'This is a great indie film,' Katapult head of sales and acquisitions David Jourdan, who brokered the deal with CAA, said. 'Madonna is a filmmaker with style and we're thrilled to be involved.' IFC holds US rights and plans an autumn release.

The Caller stars Frank Langella as a whistle-blower who hires a private eye to observe a mysterious subject. Death In Love premiered at Sundance and stars Josh Lucas, Jacqueline Bisset, and Adam Brody.

The Cannes slate includes Little Ashes by Paul Morrison, the Sigur Ros concert film Heima by Dean DeBlois, and Joy Division by Grant Gee.
