Lance Larson's Bloom earned top honours and a $2,000 VFX package as the 4th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival came to a close at the weekend.

The prize for best student short and a five-day HVX-200 HD Camera rental package was awarded to David Jibladze for Beholden.

Benedict Campbell was named best director for Lloyd Neck and will be featured in the next issue of H-Magazine.

The festival featured appearances and short films from Jessica Biel, David Arquette and Josh Brolin and awarded David Lynch the 2008 HollyShorts Visionary Award. Paul Haggis received the 2008 HollyShorts Outstanding Achievement in film award and upcoming actress Paula Garces received the 2008 HollyShorts Future Star award.

'The tremendous attention that the 2008 HollyShorts Film Festival received culminates from the strength of this year's film-makers and their impactful short form projects,' festival co-founder and director Daniel Sol said.
