150 experts will join the 350 upcoming film-makers as part of this year’s 10th anniversary edition of the Berlin Film Festival’s training initiative, the Berlinale Talent Campus.

Mark Cousins, Keanu Reeves and Brillante Mendoza are amongst the high profile names who will be joining this year’s 10th anniversary edition of the Berlinale Talent Campus as speakers.

150 experts have been enlisted to support the 350 upcoming filmmakers from 90 countries chosen for this year’s Talent Campus, which takes place Feb 11-16.

Keanu Reeves, who produced Chris Kenneally’s documentary Side By Side (which features in the Berlinale Special programme), will speak about the art of interviewing and the skills required to deliver onscreen conversations, alongside director and film critic Mark Cousins.

Other confirmed mentors include directors Brillante Mendoza and Tony Gatlif as well as editors Andrew Bird, Susan Korda, Gesa Marten, Alex Rodriguez and Molly Malene Stensgaard.

The talent campus will include a panel “Building Narrative Worlds: Digital Design for Cinema”, led by production designers Alex McDowell (Minority Report), Uli Hanisch (The International), Habib Zargarpour (The Bourne Identity), and German visual artist Thomas Demand.

Cross media experts including ARTE France Cinema’s Michel Reilhac will also talk about how storytellers and filmmakers can adapt from one platform to the next.

There will be a designated Post Production Studio, which will give the emerging film-makers the chance to work with new camera equipment and learn from mentors Stefan Ciupek and Dirk Meier.
