He joins the visual entertainment services group as a senior producer in its View-D division.

London based visual entertainment group Prime Focus has appointed Matthew Bristowe as senior producer of its View-D division.

Launched in the UK in April this year, View-D is a proprietary system for the conversion of 2D to 3D, allowing the artificial conversion of 2D source material to stereoscopic 3D, and the appointment echoes the increasing demand in the market.

Bristowe arrives from Technicolor Creative Services where he was senior DI producer. His credits include Sherlock Holmes, Slumdog Millionaire, Four Lions andFantastic Mr Fox.

Talking about the move, Bristowe said “I’m delighted to join Prime Focus at a key point in the development of 3D within the company and the industry as a whole.”

Martin Hobbs, managing director of View-D, UK said of Bristowe that “He’s one of the most respected and admired post-production producers in London. His unbridled enthusiasm and huge experience will allow us to further deliver our unique 3D conversion technologies to this rapidly expanding market.”
