The Academy has scheduled the 96th Oscars ceremony for March 10, 2024 and said the eligibility period will end on December 31 this year.
The show will air live as is customary on ABC from the Dolby Theatre at Ovatio in Hollywood.
Oscar shortlists will be announced on December 21 this year and the nominations will be announced on January 23, 2024. The Oscar nominees lunch takes place on February 12, 2024.
Preliminary voting runs December 14-18 this year, nominations voting runs January 11-16, 2024, and final voting takes place from February 22-27, 2024.
The Governors Ball is set for November 18 and the Scientific and Technical Awards will take place on February 23, 2024.
