AGC Studios has launched AGC Digital and will partner with creators to turn their ideas, content, and audiences into franchises film, television, and microdramas.
Jared Jacobs will lead the venture and reports to Joel Zimmer, AGC Unwritten president. Jacobs is an entertainment and digital executive who most recently served at Warner Bros. Unscripted Television on digital strategy, development, creator partnerships, and new IP.
Jacobs will lead efforts to identify, develop, finance, and monetise intellectual property from the digital ecosystem across unscripted, children and family, native digital, microdramas, scripted television, and film.
Prior to Warner Bros, Jacobs served as VP of development at Night Studios, where he helped lead the company’s creator-led entertainment slate and developed projects with creator heavyweights like MrBeast, Kai Cenat, Ryan Trahan, Sam & Colby, Moriah Elizabeth, and Zach King.
Prior to Night, Jacobs held roles at Blumhouse Television, Mark Wahlberg’s Unrealistic Ideas, Endeavor Content (now Fifth Season), and WME.
AGC Studios CEO Stuart Ford said few creators were able to translate their work into feature film and premium television. He added, “We’re giving creators what they’ve never had: a genuine independent studio partner, with the financing, production muscle, and global distribution reach to take their voices into feature films, scripted series, and unscripted formats without losing what made their audiences love them or control of their own IP.”
