AGC Studios will finance and produce crime thriller The Order with producer Bryan Haas of Chasing Epic Pictures and Jude Law’s Riff Raff Entertainment. Law and Nicholas Hoult will star and pre-sales commence at EFM this month.

Justin Kurzel (Assassin’s Creed, Macbeth) will direct from Zach Baylin’s (Creed III, King Richard, Gran Turismo) screenplay based on the book ‘The Silent Brotherhood’ by Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt.

The Pacific Northwest-set feature is set in 1983 as a lone FBI agent (Law) from Idaho comes to believe a series of violent bank robberies, counterfeiting operations and armoured car heists scaring local communities is the work of domestic terrorists inspired by a charismatic leader (Hoult) plotting a war against the federal government.

Haas, Law and AGC Studios chairman and CEO Stuart Ford will produce, while executive producers are Kurzel, Ben Jackson and Stephen Fuss of Riff Raff Entertainment, Baylin, Kate Susman, Jeremy Saulnier, and Zach Garrett of AGC Studios.

Production is scheduled to begin in May in Alberta, Canada. CAA Media Finance represents North American rights.
