Scottish actor, writer, producer and TV host Alan Cumming will host the 2026 Bafta Film Awards at the Royal Festival Hall in London on February 22, 2026
The awards will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Cumming is renowned for a Tony, Olivier and Golden Globe-winning career in television, film and theatre. Most recently, he has hosted TV series The Traitors US. He hosted the 2025 Bafta Television Awards for the first time earlier this year.
“How exciting to be back in the Bafta fold, this time hosting the EE Bafta Film Awards, a night like no other when we celebrate and honour creativity and craftsmanship – and also hopefully have a laugh and create some mischief as we do so,” said Cumming.
Round one of voting for the EE Bafta Film Awards opened on December 5. The longlists in all 25 categories will be revealed on January 9, with nominations to follow on January 27.
The EE Rising Star Award, the only category voted for by the public, will announce its nominees on January 14, with the winner revealed at the ceremony on February 22.
