CinemaCon 2025

Annual exhibitors convention CinemaCon has scheduled a new session for its April 13 opening day in which independents Angel Studios and Row K Entertainment and international player Studiocanal will showcase their upcoming theatrical slates.

The convention, hosted by exhibition trade group Cinema United and this year running April 13-16 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, has traditionally consisted solely of presentations from the major Hollywood studios with exceptions like Neon and Amazon MGM Studios last year.

The new session, labeled CinemaCon Film Showcase, will take place on the Monday afternoon of the event’s opening day in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Angel presented last year and has enjoyed theatrical success with current number two release Solo Mio, an acquisition, as well as releases including Sound Of Freedom, Homestead, David and The King Of Kings

Row K’s slate for 2026 includes the recently released Gus Van Sant drama Dead Man’s Wire, comedy Poetic License and thriller Cliffhanger

Finance, production and distribution company Studiocanal operates directly in nine major European markets and has offices in the US and China.

Cinema United president and CEO Michael O’Leary commented: “As a global industry that depends on a diverse pipeline of movies from a wide array of distribution partners, we are incredibly excited to welcome Angel, Row K Entertainment and Studiocanal to be part of this important new programme on Monday afternoon.”

O’Leary continued, ”Movie theatres around the world in cities and towns of all sizes rely upon these movies 52 weeks out of the year. They are essential to our industry, and by shining a light on these companies, we celebrate their importance in bringing great movies to fans of all ages across the globe.”
