Daniel Radcliffe is attached to star in Peter Sollett’s comedy You Shall Know Our Velocity based on Dave Eggers’ bestseller.

International Film Trust (IFT) is introducing the project to Cannes buyers and CAA and UTA represent US rights.

Tim Perell produces for Process and Michael Benaroya for Benaroya Pictures and Wells Tower adapted the screenplay.

You Shall Know Our Velocity is scheduled to start shooting in spring 2015 and follows a pair of friends who travel to the Pyramids to scatter their pal’s ashes and resolve to give away an insurance pay-out to those in need. 

“Dave Eggers is a gifted storyteller and we are thrilled to be turning his hilarious yet poignant story of two best friends travelling the world into a feature film,” said producer and IFT co-founder Michael Benaroya. 

IFT’s slate includes horror thriller Exists, which Lionsgate will release in the US; Cymbeline starring Ethan Hawke, Ed Harris, Milla Jovovich and Dakota Johnson; and action thriller Cell starring John Cusack and Samuel L Jackson.
