EXCLUSIVE: Italy’s Vision Distribution has taken on international sales to Ferzan Ozpetek’s comedy drama For Better And For Worse.

Vision previously handled Ozpeteks’ Diamonds, a hit in Italy where it garnered 2.4 million admissions, and was sold to more than 100 territories, including Vue Lumière in the UK and A Contracorriente in Spain.

For Better And For Worse is about a movie star, a group of friends, and the power of memory. The film is billed as an ode to love and friendship, which endure through the passage of time, in both joy and sorrow.

Vanessa Scalera, who appeared in Diamonds, will star in the new film with Sabrina Ferilli, Luca Argentero, known internationally for Eat Pray Love and who previously starred in Ozpetek’s Saturn In Opposition, Spain’s Miguel Angel Silvestre, and Mara Venier and Geppi Cucciari, who were both in Diamonds.

Filming is set to begin in June in Italy with a planned Christmas 2026 release via Vision.

The screenplay was written by Ozpetek, Carlotta Corradi, and Elisa Casseri.

The film is produced by Marco Belardi Production, Faros Film, A1 Picture, and Vision Distribution, in collaboration with Sky.
