Alessandro Caccamo

Italy’s Vision Distribution has named Alessandro Caccamo as head of international sales.

Caccamo takes on the newly created role after working as a sales consultant for the company since 2022.

A former managing director of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment in Italy, he first started collaborating with Vision in 2019 as head of video on demand, developing its streaming offer during the Covid pandemic.

Since 2022, he has worked with Vision’s international sales team. Over the past year, he has managed the sale of Paola Cortellesi hit There’s Still Tomorrow to China, where it has reached over one million admissions, becoming the fourth most-watched Italian film of all time in the country.

He has also worked on the sale of Diamanti by Ferzan Ozpetek to over 100 countries - including the USA, UK and Japan - and The Tasters by Silvio Soldini, sold in over 70 countries.

Massimo Proietti, CEO of Vision, said: “Alessandro’s new role fits into a strategy of consolidating the company’s structure, also in the international division, aimed at developing the business at every stage of the film life cycle. In an age where the world of content operates in a global context, international markets must be increasingly monitored, and Vision’s production choices must necessarily aim to develop stories that can attract the tastes of audiences from different countries, including the most distant ones.”
