
EXCLUSIVE: Jackrabbit Media has closed a raft of key territories on Fantasia International Film Festival world premiere Influencers and is continuing talks at AFM this week.
Kurtis David Harder’s sequel to his 2023 Shudder Original horror thriller Influencer is produced by Jackrabbit Media and will premiere exclusively on Shudder in English-speaking territories on December 12. Additional international releases will follow early next year.
President of sales and acquisitions Mark Padilla and his team have closed deals in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy with Plaion, which will release in Germany on January 29; France with Factoris Films; Scandinavia with Angel Films; and Middle East with Eagle Films.
Rights have also gone in CIS, Ukraine, and the Baltics (Top Film); India (Pictureworks); Poland (Dimeo Films); Benelux (Premiere TV); and airlines (Captive Entertainment).
Cassandra Naud reprises her role in the story set in Southern France, where a young woman’s fascination with murder and identity theft sends her spiralling into a whirlwind of chaos. Emily Tennant, Georgina Campbell, Lisa Delamar, Jonathan Whitesell, Veronica Long, and Dylan Playfair round out the key cast.
Influencers recently won the Gold Audience Award at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival and Best Supporting Actress, Best Cinematography, and Best Sound at FilmQuest.
