Krabbé [pictured] to play a leading role in Jeroen Leinders’ English language feature about the slave uprising on Curaçao in 1795.

Dutch actor Jeroen Krabbé has been cast in Tula, The Revolt, which will shoot on the island of Curaçao from October this year.

Krabbé will play Governor de Veer, one of the lead roles in Jeroen Leinders’ based on real life English language feature about the slave uprising on Curaçao, a Dutch colony in 1795. The script was written by Curtis Hawkins, with Fisheye Feature Films producing.

Tula, The Revolt is set to be completed for release next year which marks the 150th anniversary of the abolition of slavery by the Netherlands.
