Noah Centineo is in final negotiations to play the title role in John Rambo, which Sisu filmmaker Jalmari Helander will direct from a screenplay by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. Production is scheduled to begin next year in Thailand.
Millennium Media and Templeton Media are producing, with Kevin King Templeton, Les Weldon and Jonathan Yunger serving as individual producers. Dallas Sonnier and Amanda Presmyk of Bonfire Legend are the executive producers.
Lionsgate distributed the fourth and fifth Rambo instalments, Rambo and Rambo: Last Blood, in North America, and holds UK rights to Last Blood. It distributed First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II and Rambo III across Latin America and Southeast Asia.
