
Tom Ford’s Cry To Heaven, starring Nicholas Hoult, Adele, and Owen Cooper, is set to film in the UK and Italy early next year.
According to reports, the film is in pre-production in London and Rome and will commence principal photography in January.
Further cast is understood to include Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ciarán Hinds, George MacKay, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, Paul Bettany, Daniel Quinn-Toye, Hunter Schafer, Josephine Thiesen, Thandiwe Newton, Theodore Pellerin, Daryl McCormack, Cassian Bilton, Hauk Hannemann, and Lux Pascal.
Both Cooper and Quinn-Toye are Screen Stars of Tomorrow 2025.
Cry To Heaven is written by Ford and adapted from Anne Rice’s novel of the same name. Set in 18th-century Italy, the original story follows the lives of a Venetian noble and a castrated singer from Calabria who are both trying to make it in the world of opera.
Ford is reportedly self-financing the film and producing via his company Fade To Black. His previous features include Nocturnal Animals and A Single Man.
