‘The Voice Of Hind Rajab’

Kaouther Ben Hania’s The Voice Of Hind Rajab has been selected as Tunisia’s submission in the best international feature film Oscar race.

The feature dramatises the true story of a six-year-old Palestinian girl’s call to Red Crescent volunteers while trapped in a car under fire from Israeli forces. Producers are Tunisia’s MIME Films and France’s Tanit Films, alongside producer Nadim Cheikhrouha, Odessa Rae and Jim Wilson.

Brad Pitt, Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara and Jonathan Glazer recently boarded as executive producers. Backers include Film4, Saudi’s MBC Studios and Watermelon Pictures.

The Party Sales is selling the film. The selection was made by the Centre National de la Cinématographie et de l’Image (CNCI), Tunisia’s national centre for cinema.

Ben Hania earned an international feature Oscar nomination for The Man Who Sold His Skin in 2021 and Four Daughters was nominated for best documentary feature in 2021.

Wilson produced The Zone Of Interest, winner in the international feature category in 2024.

A shortlist of 15 finalists is scheduled to be announced on December 16, 2025, with the final five nominees announced on January 22, 2026.
