Leading independent Nordic studio Yellow Film Studios has merged with sales and financing firm REinvent to form independent studio Reinvent Yellow, for production, sales and financing.
The company will focus on English-language content and international collaborations, aiming to deliver commercially viable global content.
Yellow Film & TV CEO Olli Haikka will head up Reinvent Yellow as CEO, with REinvent CEO working as Reinvent Yellow deputy CEO.
Ennis will be responsible for sales, acquisitions and distribution operations, including content sales, licensing, partnerships, acquisitions and talent development.
Haikka will lead growth, new business, development and production, with a focus on scalable, market-responsive formats, including scripted, AI-driven and short-form. He will be supported by Laura Teirikko as COO, with Helene Auro as chief sales officer in charge of sales, marketing and acquisitions.
CFO Jorma Reinila will oversee internal financial operations, with chief revenue officer Frederik Nelsson providing financing and investment solutions to partners and projects, and leading on AI and digital tools.
The new company is owned by Finnish businessman Heikki Herlin, with Peter Barkman as chairman.
For TV, Reinvent Yellow will prioritise original crime series, as well as promoting Reinvent’s catalogue.
Yellow Film Studios companies include Yellow Film & TV Finland, 255 Pix, and Ireland’s Newgrange Pictures.
Yellow Film & TV produced films including Paula Korva’s Goteborg 2025 title Sudden Outbursts Of Emotion, and co-produced 2017 feature Borg vs. McEnroe; while REinvent’s sales arm recently represented films including Frederik Solberg’s Hana Kora and Jeanette Nordahl’s Beginnings.
