CODA director Sian Heder and Marlee Marlin from the Sundance hit and Zendaya are among recipients of the 2021 Women In Film’s WIF Honors to be handed out in October.
Beside Heder and Matlin and Zendaya and Little Lamb co-founder and Euphoria and Malcolm & Marie producer Ahley Levinson, honours will go to Jean Smart (Watchmen, Mare Of Eastwood) and her Hacks co-star Hannah Einbinder.
The awards will be handed out on October 6 at the newly opened Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. Formerly named the Crystal + Lucy Awards, the annual benefit supports WIF’s educational and philanthropic programmes and its advocacy for gender parity for women throughout the industry.
This is the first time the organisation has been able to hold its fundraising celebration since 2019 prior to the pandemic. The awards go to women who help to restructure the workplace and make it better for women to support each other.
The WIF honours committee chaired by Esther Chang comprises Jamila Hunter, Michelle Lee, Monica Levinson, Talitha Watkins, and Lauren Williams.
