Hans Zimmer will receive accolade at the 2013 awards in London.
Composer Hans Zimmer is to receive this year’s Outstanding Contribution to Music Award at the 2013 Classic BRIT Awards.
Zimmer has composed soundtracks for more than 100 films across his 30 year career, including iconic scores for Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Inception and The Lion King.
The Oscar-winner will receive the award on October 2 at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Films backed by BBC Film, BFI and Element Pictures make the cut, while Andrea Arnold’s ‘Bird’ lands in Competition.
Vue CEO Tim Richards said the company is going to “start bringing in Polish films, German films, Dutch films and Danish films”.
The acclaimed Japanese animation house is behind ‘Spirited Away’, ‘My Neighbor Totoro’ and Oscar-winner ‘The Boy And The Heron’.
Record submissions for 23rd edition running June 5-16 in New York.
Current contract with Park City expires in 2027; 2025 and 2026 editions will stay in Park City, Salt Lake City.
4k restoration to go on nationwide release in summer.
