Fox Korea has appointed Tom Oh as managing director, replacing Jay Shim, effective from May 9. He will report to Fox vice president, Asia Pacific, Sunder Kimatrai.

Oh was formerly senior vice president at CJ Entertainment, where he managed the international sales & distribution and festival activities for CJ and Cinema Service films.

Between 2001 and 2005, he served as director of Asia Regional Distribution at Warner Bros, and prior to that worked at Warner Bros International Distribution in Burbank.

'This is a very exciting time for Fox Korea with the recent success of Jumper and a fantastic upcoming slate including Horton, What Happens In Vegas, The Happening, The X-Files: I Want To Believe, The Day The Earth Stood Still and Australia,' said Kimatrai.

'With Tom's talent and experience of having worked for both the US and Korean major studios, we feel confident that he will lead the Korean team to even greater heights.'
