Mark Canton’s Atmosphere Entertainment has acquired theatrical film rights to Steve Klayman’s original screenplay Caught In The Act.
Canton will produce and Atmosphere’s David Hopwood will co-produce the action-comedy about an actor who is mistaken for the thief he portrays on a crime re-enactment show.
“Caught In The Act is a highly original screenplay that is filled with both fun and intrigue,” said Canton. “It’s a perfect addition to Atmosphere’s diverse slate of motion picture projects.”
Atmosphere’s 2013 development slate includes a trio of projects set up with Relativity Media.
Tunnels is the first in a potential franchise that Mikael Hafstrom will direct from the first in a series of novels by Roderick Gordon and Brian Williams.
Den Of Thieves is a crime thriller about a gang of renegade police officers who try to stop a robbery at the Federal Reserve in Los Angeles and Silver Or Lead focuses on the life of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar.
