London based post-production and finance company Creativity Media is to start providing completion guarantees for films under £1.5m, which it is already doing the post production work on.

The company, which is currently in talks with a number of sales agents and distributors to offer the service for their low-budget features, will charge similar rates to completion guarantors on existing films.

Creativity has already established a private equity facility to cash flow pre-sales and tax credits as well as providing GAP finance to films where they would also provide post-production, as in the case of Revolver Entertainment’s Anuvahood [pictured] and Sket, where it came onboard as a co-producer.

“We effectively already provide this to safeguard our investment on selected films and we’ve noticed a gap in the market as the traditional providers are unable to service the growing low budget segment,” said Creativity’s managing director Patrick Fischer, who set up the post production/finance company in 2010 with Richard Kondal and Alex Joseph.

Creativity’s current projects include Surya Productions’ London-set feature Tower Block starring Jack O’Connell and Sheridan Smith.
