Polish Oscar-nominated director readies next film in Warsaw.

Sławomir Fabicki, whose 2006 feature debut Zodzysku (Retrieval) received a special mention at Cannes and picked up awards at the Thessaloniki and Warsaw film festivals, will begin shooting his second feature, Love, next week.

Polish director Fabicki, who was nominated for an Oscar for his short A Man Thing in 2001, has also co-written the script.

Starring Marcin Dorociński (Rosa) and Julia Kijowska (In Darkness), the film tells the story of a complicated relationship between a successful 30-year-old couple who seemingly have everything going for them, but are hiding dark secrets.

Odeon Rybarczyk Productions are the main producers with Anagram Films onboard as co-producers. Backing also comes from the Polish Film Institute. Polish theatrical distribution will be handled by Elias Sp. z o.o.

The shoot takes place in Warsaw between Sept 7-Oct 20.
