WWE Studios has formed an alliance with UK producer-financier Richwater Films to co-produce and co-finance two titles.

The first project will be Eliminators starring Scott Adkins (pictured) and WWE Superstar Bad News Barrett.

James Nunn will commence shooting in late spring in London on the tale of a former US Federal Agent who comes out of the witness protection programme to protect his daughter from Europe’s most dangerous assassin.

Rampage is in development and centres on an American counterterrorism operative who must work with an English MI5 agent to take out a threat in London. The producers anticipated a production start later this year.

WWE Studios will handle worldwide rights on both titles.

“Having watched WWE programming since the 1991 Royal Rumble and regarding Vince McMahon as the ultimate entrepreneurial pioneer, I am thrilled to be in business with WWE Studios,” said Richwater Films CEO and founder Jonathan Sothcott.

“Michael and his team share my ambition to create high-quality genre movies and these films are sure to deliver thrills to audiences around the world.”

“As a major new player on the British Independent film scene, Richwater Films exudes a professional zeal that is highly compatible with the work we do here at WWE Studios,” said WWE Studios president Michael Luisi. “Both of our organisations are dedicated to creating films that engage and excite.”
